Students’ Science Society
Students’ Science Society Section: Study of Local Lore The Society unites the 9-11th formers inclined to research activity. The crucial aim of the Society is to mould a highly intellectual, socially active and tolerant individual. To achieve this goal we undertake the following tasks: to develop students’ awareness of the history, culture and the present day social problems of the republic; to conduct the pedagogical monitoring of the seniors’ research work; to present the research results. Research is the highest level of students’ creative activity, which depends on their mental ability and their striving for scientific study. We are to find such talented youngsters, to encourage them and give them every pedagogical help. The "Discover Tatarstan” course which was created in our gymnasium is assumed as a basis for the Students’ Science Society. We work out our special teaching system and technology to encourage students’ cognitive activity and to teach them research methods. This system has proved to be very effective and yields good results.
