Знакомьтесь: экспериментальный театр гимназии №122 Welcome to school theatre group

Г.Г. Альбина, учитель высшей категории, гимназия №122.

Е.В. Макарова, учитель первой категории, гимназия №122.

Two Russian teachers inspired by love to their country and their kids want to share the very best with the world. They carefully looked at the Russian Literature of the 20th century to select the only one story that will provide a model of what is possible to protect the humanity from and that will inspire real individuals to stand for true moral values. The ideas expressed in the play shift it to the level of international significance.

The Amateur school theatre group №122 is very young. It dates back to 2005/2006 schooling year when two teachers of English and English/American Literature decided to stage within the framework of English studies a fairy-tale "The Happy Prince” by O. Wilde. It turned out to be tremendous success and won the 1st prize at the city school theatre festival in Kazan, the city of multinational culture, traditions and customs where more than 100 nations have been peacefully living for centuries. The second performance "To kill the Dragon” by E. Shvartz, recently staged by us, has already deserved recognition among school youth, teachers of All Russian Conference Of Teaching Excellence and numerous guests from the English-speaking countries.
The kids aged 11-12 are not professional actors but their inner sense of what is right and what is wrong, wit and natural wisdom make the play sound heartwarming and optimistic despite the dramatic collisions society may face with.

She is also the motivator to young teachers and kids in Russia who are not different to the burning problems of the contemporary world.
