The resource center of preparation for Russian State Examination
Judging by the results of Russian State Examination for 2008 - 2009 gymnasium №122 became one of leading educational establishments of Kazan. The English teachers of the gymnasium have developed the defined system of preparation of pupils to the delivery of the total certification, including not only studies, but also elective courses, special courses and individual work with seniour pupils. On these grounds the gymnasium №122 has become the resource center on distribution of advanced experience among teachers of the district and republic. The resource center of preparation for Russian State Examination on the English language has begun the work since October, 2009. The teacher of the English language of the highest qualifying category I.E. Gerchikova gave a lecture on participating in the Russian State Examination in English. She told the teachers about the procedure of taking the Russian State Examination, the requirements, the criteria of an assessment of papers, learned typical tasks and made the analysis. In February, 2010 the English teacher Samitova F.G. gave the lesson for English teachers of the district on the theme «The Technology of preparation of pupils to performance of tasks of Russian State Examination on reading and listening ». The lesson was passed in the master class form, at which teachers learnt the most rational means of doing tasks to reading and listening of various kinds. In March, 2010 the teacher of English language of the highest category Albina G. G imparted experience on a problem of pupils’ preparation to the most difficult task of the Russian State Examination - writing an essay on the set theme. The teacher told her collegues about work stages, a lexicon choice, gave the list of the most used cliches, acquainted the teachers with the list of the used literature for work with pupils. The activity of the resource centre also included the performance of the leading methodologist of publishing house "Macmillan" on the problem of performance of test tasks, then three master classes were given by teachers of the English language, working in Gymnasium 122. The seminar ended with problem discussion.
